Caitlyn Jenner Opens Up About Her Relationship With the Kardashian-Jenner Family

Caitlyn Jenner has revealed just how estranged she has become from the Kardashian family, saying she has “lost all relationship” with her former wife and stepchildren.

Expressing her sadness during an interview with British television personality Piers Morgan, Jenner confirmed that she no longer speaks to any of the Kardashians.

“I don’t talk about that side of the family. I spent 23 years of my life with those kids — it’s difficult to talk about, it’s terribly sad,” she said.

“I’ve lost all relationship with them. Yes, I don’t talk to any of them anymore.”

Jenner, who was 68 at the time of the interview, said she remained close to her biological daughters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, explaining that “my children are my life.”

Caitlyn’s relationship with Khloé appeared to be the most strained of all her stepchildren, as she claimed they had not spoken in two years.

“Actually, it was Kendall’s birthday party [this month], and I went to the party, and I hadn’t spoken to any of the kids on that side,” the retired Olympian explained.

“I probably hadn’t spoken to Kris for a year, Kim for probably nine months, Khloé for two years — but she wasn’t there — and Kourtney, I hadn’t spoken to her either.”

Khloé has openly discussed how hurt she felt by Caitlyn’s critical comments about Kris Jenner in her 2015 Vanity Fair interview following her transition.

“It was very hard for me to experience so many new things so quickly and still feel like I had to protect my mom, and certain things that were happening felt inappropriate to me,” Khloé said during an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

“But then I also told myself that this wasn’t even my battle anymore. I have my own issues.”

Kim was particularly vocal about her anger toward Caitlyn, stemming from statements Jenner made in her memoir, The Secrets of My Life.

During an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim read a passage from the book in which Jenner claimed that Robert Kardashian believed O.J. Simpson was guilty but defended him anyway. Kim then walked away.

“It’s so shady that Caitlyn came over and gave me the book, and then on the phone she said, ‘Well, the final version has a few more things in it. But don’t worry, there’s nothing about you.’ So she lied to me. Because it is about me if it’s about our dad.”

“I’ve always had Caitlyn’s back. But she’s a liar. She’s not a good person.”

Jenner appeared saddened by the situation but seemed to have accepted the distance between herself and the Kardashian family.

“They don’t want me in their lives. They attacked me pretty badly. It’s devastating when your kids do that. It really hurt.”

Caitlyn was a stepparent to Kim, Khloé, Kourtney, and Rob for more than two decades after marrying Kris Jenner in 1991. She also supported the children following the death of their biological father, Robert Kardashian, who passed away in 2003.
