Kelly Osbourne has opened up about the devastating grief and mental health struggles she experienced following the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne, in July 2025.
Speaking on Paul C. Brunson’s We Need to Talk podcast, Kelly revealed just how deeply the loss affected her, saying she “lost my mind” and became unable to eat or speak.
“I was a shell of myself,” she said, describing herself as “broken in every way a human being could possibly be broken.”
Overwhelmed by the grief, Kelly also revealed that she relapsed into drinking, saying she was “at ground zero” following her father’s death. She later reached eight months of sobriety.
The loss also changed her relationships. Kelly said she lost friends who expected her to “get over” her grief quickly, leading her to dramatically narrow her inner circle.
She also revealed that she is no longer speaking to her estranged older sister, Aimee.
Kelly shared that her final conversation with Ozzy took place just three days before his death, making the loss even more painful.
Her emotional account offers a deeply personal look at the impact of losing her father — and the difficult road she has faced while trying to rebuild her life.
